If you or someone you know are in need of housing assistance, please give NEKCA a call so that we may support you. We work with individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness by providing housing navigation services across the NEK.
Unfortunately, NEKCA is unable to provide emergency housing assistance, but we will help connect participants to our community partners.
Our Housing Support Specialists will connect you with Economic Services or 2-1-1 who provide emergency housing in our region.

NEKCA offers temporary housing and housing services for the following groups of our neighbors who have an especially hard time with housing:
TEENS
In Newport, we provide transitional housing for teens in need of a safe place to live. Other wrap around services and supports are provided as well – please click here for more info on all teen services.
After hours emergency response: call 911 for an emergency or your local police. Ask to speak with someone from Youth Services.
COMMUNITY BASED CORRECTIONS
Temporary housing for individuals exiting the correctional facility in need of a stable living environment. We provide opportunities for reintegration and connections to community and services.
Transitional housing for individuals involved with the Department of Corrections and living in or returning to Orleans, Essex and Caledonia Counties. Judd North, Judd South, Lyndonville Apartments, and Aerie House. Supporting women and men, with some housing for those with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health challenges.
