NEKCA’s Community and Restorative Justice Department utilizes restorative practices to repair harm, restore relationships, and strengthen community well-being by bringing together the people most affected by wrongdoing: those who were harmed, those who caused the harm, and the community. Central to Restorative Justice are the needs, rights, and experience of those who have been harmed. Our staff ensure that harmed parties’/victims’ safety is prioritized and their choices are honored throughout all of our programs. Restorative Justice seeks to promote accountability, healing, and positive change.
