Children's Integrated Services

Children’s Integrated Services (or CIS) wraps families and caregivers of young children with support services in their natural environments to ensure healthy development in the earliest years of life. There are 5 services families can receive from pre-birth through 6 years old that are provided by our NEK Community Partners.

CIS Services Available :

  • Early Intervention: A collaborative, coordinated system of services for families with children ages birth to three who are experiencing developmental delays or have diagnosed conditions that put them risk for developmental delays. Our services are family-centered and provide developmental education to support families in understanding their child’s needs and creating goals together. This support can include helping families access speech and language therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, or nutritional services.
  • Family Support:   Working with families to self-identify strengths and needs, role modeling and mentoring aimed at successful development of life skills to achieve personal and parenting goals, and assisting with access to community supports and services.
  • Nursing Support: Prenatal & Postpartum support for women and families with children birth to age 6. Services focuses on healthy promotion, prevention, and well-being. Services can include nutritional and lactation support, child growth and development, safe and healthy environments, and assisting families to connect with high quality health care and support services within the community.
  • Early Childhood Family Mental Health: Provides preventative services to families with children birth to age 6 to promote healthy social-emotional development. Services are also available to support early education programs in providing inclusive environments that promote healthy  social-emotional development for all children.
