IT IS ESSENTIAL TO BE SAFE, DRY AND WARM

Are you homeless? About to be evicted? Don’t know where you might be living soon? Need help in finding an apartment? Facing foreclosure? Are you just finding it difficult to navigate all those systems? Our housing counselors can help! NEKCA is a Local Housing Counseling Agency. We can help you locate, secure or maintain your housing, or assist with navigating the many other resources out there.

HOUSING and SHELTER ASSISTANCE

Is there an emergency #?

Housing Counseling: Work with our housing counselors to assess your needs and to establish housing goals. Together, we can create a plan to solve problems and overcome barriers. We can help you work with your landlord and provide you with information about tenants’ rights and responsibilities. Budgeting counseling and financial literacy trainings are available.

Financial Assistance: Limited financial assistance for rent, back rent, security deposits and utilities may be available.

Transitional Housing and Shelter: If we don’t have the temporary housing/shelter you need, we will help you find it!
